Friend,
This #GivingTuesday, we asked you to take a stand for drug policy reform. And we are truly overwhelmed by how many of you did.
Thanks to your collective #GivingTuesday generosity, the Drug Policy Alliance has received more than $10,000 in additional matching funds to help us resist attacks on our communities and defend the programs and policies that save lives.
This year, people who use drugs continue to feel the impact of funding cuts to treatment, overdose prevention, and harm reduction services; face growing threats of criminalization; and navigate ongoing erosion to the progress we’ve fought so hard to achieve. Your support ensures we can:
- Fight to keep overdose prevention and harm reduction programs open and accessible to reduce infectious diseases and save lives.
- Move federal marijuana legalization forward and repair the damage caused by prohibition.
- Stand up for families, loved ones, and communities impacted by the drug war.
- Counter misinformation and push for evidence-based, compassionate drug policies that put people first.
Friend, whether you were able to donate on #GivingTuesday or not, thank you for being part of this movement and for helping us defend the progress we’ve made and keep pushing forward with what we know works: like access to treatment, harm reduction, and overdose prevention services.
You are the source of our strength.
