Did you know that when I ran for school board in 2020, I defeated the far-right Republican who went on to found Moms for Liberty? She lost her bid to bring book bans, teacher purges, and extremist indoctrination to our county’s schools in Florida, so she decided to take it nationwide.

That’s why, after I served my school board term, I launched Educated We Stand, a national organization laser-focused on fighting back against the far-right efforts to undermine public education.
