** 1. NC VALUES: A Grateful Post–Giving Tuesday Update
------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to your generosity, we had a wonderful #GivingTuesday. Your support fuels our work to advance life, family, and religious freedom here in North Carolina — and we are truly grateful.

And if you missed Giving Tuesday, it’s not too late. As we approach the end of the year, would you prayerfully consider making a gift to strengthen this work? Every contribution helps us educate voters, equip churches, support pro-family legislation, and stand for the values that help our communities flourish.

If you feel led to give, your year-end gift is still needed and deeply appreciated.

Thank you for standing with us.

** 2. SCOTUS BLOG: Court Appears Sympathetic to Pregnancy Centers’ Argument
------------------------------------------------------------

"The Supreme Court on Tuesday was sympathetic to a group of faith-based pregnancy centers in their quest to challenge New Jersey’s demand for information about the group’s fundraising practices in federal court. The state contends that the group, First Choice Women’s Resource Centers, must litigate its claims in state court, but after Tuesday morning’s oral argument, a majority of the justices appeared ready to side with First Choice in its bid to litigate its First Amendment claim in federal court."

** 3. WATCH: Safeguarding Student Privacy and Parental Rights
------------------------------------------------------------

Earlier this week, Congress held a hearing on “Safeguarding Student Privacy and Parental Rights: A Review of FERPA and PPRA.” Our friend Matt Sharp from ADF testified on the urgent need for stronger protections that keep parents informed, safeguard student privacy, and end harmful secret social transition policies in schools.

Parental rights are foundational to strong families, and strong families are essential for a healthy North Carolina.

We encourage you to watch it, stay informed, and help amplify why protecting parental rights matter.

** 4. CAROLINA JOURNAL: NC Budget Impasse Heads to Dec. 15 Showdown as Hall Digs In
------------------------------------------------------------

"The General Assembly has operated without a full biennial budget since July 1, 2025, relying instead on mini-budgets and a 2016 state law that allows most existing budget spending levels to continue indefinitely. In June, the Senate passed a $5.4 billion stopgap funding measure that the House declined to take up in its entirety, opting instead for separate spending packages.

The prolonged stalemate has drawn criticism from within conservative circles."

** 5. N&O: NC Supreme Court Race ‘Can’t be a Campaign About Issues.’ What to Expect Instead
------------------------------------------------------------

"The top of North Carolina’s 2026 ballot promises to feature a contentious, nationally watched U.S. Senate race, likely pitting the state’s former Democratic governor against the most-recent chair of the Republican National Committee. But further down that ballot, a battle is forming which could prove to be almost equally frenzied. That is the race for a seat on North Carolina’s powerful Supreme Court.

** WEEKLY PRAYER: Life
------------------------------------------------------------

LORD, we recognize that you are Sovereign over all creation. We recognize you made man from the dust, and in your mercy, you crowned creation with man and woman made in your image. What a wonder it is that you would bestow upon us this blessing and responsibility!

LORD, may we not take this blessing for granted. We pray that this great responsibility and dignity may motivate us to love You, our neighbors, and our families more. LORD, may we as a culture truly see and believe that children are a blessing from the LORD—born or unborn; able or disabled. All children should have an opportunity to experience the liberty of life. LORD, make us your vehicle to change our culture into one that cherishes and protects life. Keep at the forefront of our minds our responsibilities to respect, cherish, and serve the youngest and oldest in our society.

“At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, ‘Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.'” (Matthew 18:1-6)

Sincerely,

Tami & Team
