One of the most effective ways to get people involved in our democracy and taking meaningful action is by reaching out to the people we know best. This is especially true for voter registration: Research shows that talking to your friends and family is the most effective way to make sure they vote.

We don’t want anyone missing their chance to cast a ballot in one of the most important elections of our lifetime, which is why we’re making reaching out to your friends and family in swing states a key part of our 2020 strategy. But we need your help!

Your phone contacts are a powerful organizing resource. Once you’ve texted your best friend and your mom, it’s time to move on to tier two: old neighbors, friendly colleagues, perhaps an acquaintance you’ve lost touch with? The point is, you might be striking up a conversation with someone you haven’t spoken with in awhile -- that’s ok! We need everyone registered to vote in time for November.
