Leaders who don’t take COVID seriously. How will they ensure Americans have safe access to the ballot box

Brian Kemp Goes Too Far

“Georgia governor sues to block Atlanta from enforcing coronavirus mask order” - Washington Post

Notorious vote suppressor Brian Kemp is ignoring science and stopping local leaders from requiring masks. Masks keep people safe -- just like voting from home.

If this is how Georgia’s Republican governor is prioritizing his time and energy, imagine how he’ll swing his weight to make it harder for Georgians to vote from home.

Protecting the health of people in our country means all Americans should have the right to vote from home this fall. Add your name if you agree >>

Voting and masks should not be politicized. It’s about the health of our country and our democracy.

It’s shameful to see Republican Brian Kemp putting politics over common sense. We don’t think he or other Republicans will have changes of heart before November, especially if it means more voters casting ballots. That means serious trouble for voters who want to cast their ballots from home.

Put our health and access to democracy OVER politics. Demand leaders expand vote-by-mail ahead of the November election.

This is a crisis and Republicans are seeing how they can score political points and keep Americans from the ballot box. It’s up to us to demand reform.

Thank you,

------------
Vote From Home 2020 is a grassroots movement that's making vote by mail more accessible. With a $25 donation, we'll send vote by mail applications to 20 voters. COVID-19 has brought America to a halt, and with it almost all in-person voter mobilization efforts. While volunteers can’t get on buses to swing states or go door-to-door right now, there is a huge opportunity for progressives, especially in solidly blue states, to get out the vote where it counts. By sending vote by mail ballots to targeted states and following up with text and calls to voters, we can ensure the 2020 general election is safe and accessible. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $25 so consider donating that today to support voting rights.
