While we're still waiting for the official election results from the NYC Board of Elections, I have some exciting news to share with you: just moments ago, Eliot Engel conceded and the Associated Press called our election, securing our victory.

I'm honored to be the Democratic nominee from New York's 16th District for Congress. I'm excited to get to work for the people of the Bronx and Westchester, and cause trouble for the status quo in Washington.

I also wanted to take this moment to specifically thank the Working Families Party and folks like you for believing in me from the very beginning. Together, we've done incredible work together over the past year — none of which would have been possible without you.

The primary may be behind us, but our fight has just begun. We’re now looking towards making sure we're set up to win in November's general election, continuing conversations with constituents, in-depth policy research, supporting other progressives in upcoming key primaries, and so much more.

I know WFP will continue to be a critical partner in that fight as they continue to mobilize hundreds of volunteers, call and text thousands of voters, and keep growing this incredible movement.
