I won’t mince words​​. Pete Hegseth has demonstrated repeatedly that he is in over his head.

He doesn’t know how to do the job of Defense Secretary. He continues to make egregious mistakes. And these missteps have and will continue to jeopardize our national security.

The truth is a Fox News studio is not where you learn to run a three million person organization, and it certainly does not prepare you for the huge responsibility of leading our nation’s troops.

This is an individual more concerned with getting likes on social media than protecting our country's national security.

The Senate should have NEVER confirmed Hegseth in the first place – but too many of my Republican colleagues caved to Trump’s demands, despite knowing how dangerously unqualified Hegseth was for the job.

It’s clearer than ever: The midterm election is our ONLY chance to put an end to the chaos, corruption, and incompetence that has defined this Trump administration.

We’ve got to flip the Senate and elect leaders who will put transparency and accountability above loyalty to the president.
