Message from the Chairman:

This season draws us back to the quiet miracle of Bethlehem—the birth of Jesus Christ, whose life affirms that truth is real, redemption is possible, and every soul is known and loved by God. Utah families of many faiths celebrate their own stories of light and deliverance; though our traditions differ, they share a common message:

God strengthens families, lifts communities, and protects the cause of liberty.

Our freedoms endure when faith is firm, families are strong, and service is given. These God-given principles elevate our citizenship and shape us into a more compassionate, courageous, and unified people. They remind us that preserving liberty is the daily responsibility of each of us.

As we look ahead, may we walk in greater truth, serve with greater purpose, and defend with greater resolve the rights endowed by our Creator. And may the light of Christ guide us into a new year filled with a renewed commitment to the sacred gift of freedom.

Sincerely,

Robert Axson
Chairman, Utah Republican Party

Sign Today to Restore Representative Government

I recently hosted a networking event with the Utah Tech College Republicans where these bright conservative leaders were able to learn from and visit with Congresswoman Celeste Maloy, Attorney General Derek Brown, State School Board Member Joann Brinton, Representative Neil Walter, St. George Councilwoman Michelle Tanner and other conservative leaders in Utah. Watching these young leaders engage directly with local, state, and federal elected officials was a powerful reminder of the unique representative government we enjoy here in Utah.

Proposition 4, however, was designed to fundamentally alter this form of government. Bankrolled by out-of-state liberal special interest groups, this proposition erodes Utah's representative form of government, jeopardizing the very process and policies that have driven Utah's community strength, economic success and unmatched quality of life. Labor Unions, the ACLU, and Texas-based Action Now Initiative spent millions pushing their agenda, not ours. With our government under attack, first by a misleading proposition and then by an unelected judge, I am concerned about the Utah these young leaders will inherit.

I applaud the many local volunteers who are helping us collect the 170,000 signatures needed to overturn Proposition 4. Chairman Axson recently announced a historic $4.3M donation from Securing American Greatness to enhance our efforts and bring in reinforcements. These Utah-driven efforts to restore proper representation are supported by President Trump and the Republican National Committee.

We need your help to reverse Proposition 4 and protect Utah’s representative government for future generations! First, please commit to signing the petition to repeal Proposition 4 at UFRG.org <[link removed]>. Then please consider donating your time or money to support this critical effort. Your support ensures we have the muscle to fight back and right this wrong.

Sincerely,

Now Recruiting Strong 2026 Candidates

The 2026 candidate filing window opens January 2nd. As we prepare for a pivotal election year, we are actively looking for strong Republican candidates to step forward and run for office, specifically in open seats and districts currently held by Democrats. Utah needs principled, service-minded leaders who are ready to defend our values and represent their communities with integrity.

If you have considered running for office or want to learn more about what it takes, we encourage you to reach out. Our team is here to answer questions and help you take the next step.

Signature Gathering: Save Representative Government

THE PROBLEM

A Utah judge recently threw out the Legislature’s constitutionally drawn congressional map and replaced it with one created by a far-left group—creating a deep-blue district where a radical socialist could win in solid-red Utah.

Utah’s Constitution is clear: drawing districts is the Legislature’s responsibility. This ruling undermines both the Constitution and the separation of powers, allowing an unelected judge to take over redistricting.

“The Legislature shall divide the state into congressional, legislative, and other districts accordingly.”
— Utah Constitution, Article IX, Section 1

THE SOLUTION

A new citizen initiative aims to overturn Prop. 4 and restore redistricting authority to the Legislature. To get it on the November 2026 ballot, we need 170,000 signatures. Counties have already begun signature-gathering events, and great places to collect include precinct meetings, county events, and busy community locations.
