How America Can Stop Settler Violence

Haaretz published an op-ed by NJN's Hadar Susskind that lays out some of the steps that the United States can take to confront attacks by settlers. Among the possible actions, Susskind notes that the US can "condition aid to Israel on whether the Israeli government is effectively curbing settlement expansion and policing settler violence."

NJN Event

DC Young Professionals Event: No Other Land Screening and Discussion

New Jewish Narrative and New Israel Fund invite young professionals to come view the Academy Award winning documentary 'No Other Land' with us on Thursday, December 18th at 5:45 pm. Screening starts at 6pm, with a meaningful discussion afterwards. In the spirit of "Jewish Christmas," a dinner of Chinese food will be provided to go with the movie. Vegetarian options will be available.

NJN in the Community

NJN Director of Programs Maxxe Albert-Deitch was recently featured in a panel conversation on intra-Jewish communal violence, following a showing of November 4th, a new musical about the political assassination of Yitzhak Rabin. Alongside Rabbi Amalia Mark, Dr. Debra Shushan, and "Two Jews, Three Opinions" founder Jenna Fischer, Maxxe unpacked her experiences of hostility within the Jewish community around the topic of Israel and Palestine over the past two years - and how that environment differs from the pre-October-7th conversation.

Each showing of November 4th is followed by a talkback or panel, tying the 1995 events that the show covers together with the current, 3-years-later geopolitical realities of the Israel-Palestine conversation.
