On Tuesday, Iowa is having our 5th special election of 2025.

In every special election so far this year, Democrats have overperformed expectations by 20+ points. And with TWO special elections this month, this is our last chance to prove we have all the momentum on our side as we head into the election year.

So here’s what you need to know: Democrat Rachel Burns is the underdog running in House District 7.

As a speech-language pathologist, educator, and first responder, Rachel is an everyday Iowan stepping up for her community. She wants to keep our rural hospitals open and make sure everyone has healthcare coverage. She knows how important it is to fund our public schools instead of private school vouchers, support our farmers, and more.

But there’s no doubt about it: This will be a tough district to overperform in — Trump won the 2024 election here by over 70% of the vote. That’s why we’ve got to support Rachel as much as we can before she heads into her last GOTV weekend before Election Day.
