Federal Lawsuits Challenging Immigration Detention Flood Texas - Over 675 lawsuits challenging immigration detention have flooded Texas courts this year as part of a national wave of habeas petitions to counter the Trump administration’s efforts to keep migrants locked up and deport them. “What we heard was they’re going after criminals … My husband has [no criminal history], so why would they come and get him?” said Brandi Rahimi, whose husband has been living, working, and raising a family in San Antonio for over two decades. While many petitions remain pending, records show both Democrat and Republican appointed judges recommended or ordered migrants be released in eight lawsuits.

The Independence Investment Fund Act strengthens America’s position by directing strategic investments into technologies that are essential for our prosperity and long-term security. This bill ensures that America—not China—sets the pace for the next generation of biotechnology and emerging technologies.

Sen. Cruz Statement Following President Trump Signing the MEDAL Act into Law - The Medal of Honor is our nation’s highest military honor, reserved only for those who have distinguished themselves through acts of valor that go above and beyond the call of duty. I’m deeply thankful to President Trump for signing the MEDAL Act into law.
