Illegal immigration is a clear and present danger to the United States — and it’s time for the entire federal government to act like it.
President Donald Trump is doing his part. He ended the Biden border crisis in a matter of weeks. No illegal aliens have been released into the country for six months.
But the tragic shooting of National Guardsmen in Washington, D.C., by an Afghan gunman granted asylum to live here shows that sealing the border was only the beginning.
We have to take the next step on illegal migrants. Arrest them. Deport them. Target companies that hire them. Cut off their welfare benefits.
We have to finally enforce all our immigration laws. And we have to pass new ones to close the loopholes that are currently being exploited.
Thankfully, Senate conservatives are already stepping up with ideas:
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) just introduced a bill to make it harder for illegal criminals to make bail, so they stay locked up awaiting trial.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) joined Lee on another bill to deport any illegals involved in welfare fraud automatically.
Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) is leading the fight against corporate and university abuses of high-tech visa programs.
Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL) — conservative candidate for Senate in 2026 — introduced a bill to deport any immigrant convicted of drunk driving automatically.
Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) just introduced a bill to strengthen safety requirements for truck drivers — after several deadly accidents caused by poorly trained immigrants.
Every Senator and candidate SCF supports is 100% on board with border security, immigration enforcement, and tighter restrictions on legal migrants. And there is no time to waste.
Americans are dying. Our labor and housing markets are broken. And our government budgets are stretched to the breaking point.
No more talk — it’s time for action.
Illegal immigrants have to go, and legal immigration has to be dramatically reduced. Businesses should be hiring Americans. The government should be serving citizens. And taxpayers should be supporting their own families, not illegal immigrants.
Conservatives across the country are sick of excuses — and sicker of the constant stories of illegal immigrant violence and fraud. President Trump is ready to lead — conservative Senators are prepared to legislate.
It’s time to end the U.S. immigration crisis once and for all.
