Otherwise, here's the truth:

Republicans from Donald Trump to Roger Stone to Mike Johnson all want to beat me. Roger Stone wants me charged with seditious conspiracy.

They want to beat me because they know if they win, Republicans will hold the House. And more than that, they know that I am a threat to Donald Trump in the House, as well.

They will do and spend whatever it takes to defeat me: attacks, investigations, outside spending... and on and on it will go.

This campaign is funded by contributions from people like you who care. That's it. It's how we raise almost all of our money -- and much of it in response to emails like this one.

So with the most important FEC fundraising deadline of the campaign coming up fast, I am asking... humbly:

Please make a contribution of whatever it is you can afford today. Some give more than that, some give less. Every donation matters -- because it all adds up fast when so many are chipping in. And we need it before this deadline.
