We have real momentum, but we have to close the fundraising gap—and fast.

Team,

Campaigns just filed their latest reports with the FEC, and they paint a clear picture of how this race is shaping up.

The good news is we have real momentum. Thanks to this grassroots team, Amy outraised Mitch McConnell—again. (It’s the fifth straight time we’ve done that.)

But while we had to campaign last month to win the nomination, Mitch was able to stockpile funds. His report shows he’s regained the cash advantage, and thanks to his special-interest friends, he’s raising money faster than he has at any point in his 35-year career.

That’s why we’re determined to close that fundraising gap as soon as we can—we can’t afford to get outspent dramatically in the final months of this race. If you can, please chip in right now and help close the gap with Mitch.

What’s more, it’s not just Mitch’s cash we should be concerned about. This month, we learned that outside groups have reserved over $15 million in TV ads for the final weeks of this campaign.

But in spite of everything the other side has done to smear Amy so far, the latest polls show that this race is still very close. That’s in large part because we’ve been aggressive in defending Amy—and hitting Mitch back—every time they attack.

We know an onslaught of negative ads is coming, and that it’ll only get worse the closer we get to November. That’s why we need to close the fundraising gap as soon as we can, to make sure we’re ready for whatever they throw our way.

Mitch and his outside group allies rely heavily on big checks from special interests, but we’ve always built this campaign one donation at a time. Can you make one today to help close the gap?

Thank you,

Sannie
