As families send their kids and grandkids back to school this month, I’d like to introduce you to the CO₂ Coalition.
We are a group of more than 180 scientists, researchers, and policy experts — including Nobel laureates — working to tell the truth about carbon dioxide. While activists and the media label CO₂ as a dangerous pollutant, the science shows it is essential to life: fueling crops, greening the Earth, and making our planet greener.
Unfortunately, too many classrooms are filled with fear instead of facts. Students are being told to worry about crop failures, dying forests, and spiraling weather disasters — none of which are supported by the real data.
That’s why we’ve made educating the next generation one of our top priorities. We’re creating and distributing colorful, age-appropriate resources that show young people how CO₂ benefits agriculture, strengthens ecosystems, and contributes to a greener world.
