Dear Friend,

The House of Lords recently announced they are making more time in the new year to continue debate of the assisted dying Bill. This is an important step forward, keeping hope alive for the thousands of people who want to see progress. If you are one of those people, please back the Bill today by donating to our crowd funder.

But this new opportunity comes with a clear challenge.

A handful of Peers opposed to the Bill have already lined up over 1000 amendments to slow the Bill down. Their aim is simple: delay, distract and derail.

It is now essential that these additional days serve democracy, not frustrate it. And that means we need to be ready.

Every extra day gives our campaign a chance to push back, to counter attempts to stall the Bill, to brief supportive Lords, to mobilise public pressure and to make sure the majority view - in Parliament and nationwide - cannot be ignored.

This is a fightback moment. We need your support to seize it.

Please donate if you can to help us push back against delay.

Just £23 could pay for a vital briefing to be drafted and sent to a member of the House of Lords, giving them the evidence they need to make the case for change.

We have come too far to let delay win now.

These extra parliamentary days could be the opportunity the campaign needs - but only if we have the resources to use them effectively.

Last week, supporters of the Bill from across the country came together to mark the anniversary of the Bill passing its Second Reading in the Commons. People came together to thank the MPs that voted with compassion. We cannot let those votes be in vain. We must push back now, or all of that progress could be stalled by delay in the Lords. This is the moment to fight back.

Thank you for everything you have already done to bring us to this point, and thank you for anything you are able to give today.

Best wishes,

Fran Hall
