| Gov. Evers Appoints Andrew Curtis as Washburn County Coroner |
| |
MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today appointed Andrew Curtis to serve as the next Washburn County Coroner. The appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Angela Pank. Curtis will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that ends on Jan. 4, 2027.
“As deputy coroner and with years of experience, I am confident that Andrew Curtis will continue to serve his community well in this new role,” said Gov. Evers.
Curtis has worked for the Washburn County Coroner’s office since 2018, most recently as deputy coroner, where he has developed the knowledge and experience to serve as county coroner.
“I want to thank Governor Evers and his staff for this opportunity for being selected as coroner of Washburn County,” said Curtis. “Our civic duties are of importance to Washburn County and the state of Wisconsin. I am thankful for this continuing service in the coroner's office and feel humbled and honored.”
