Dear Friends and Allies,
When the greatest American baseball player is a Japanese two-way player that would put Babe Ruth to shame. A player (it’s Sho-time) who hits 3 home runs and strikes out 10 in a playoff game. This is truly great about America and has Asians leading the way to true democratic ideals of freedom and free markets. When the number 1 movie on the number 1 streaming service is an Asian American conceived story (Soda Pop! anyone) celebrating cultural freedom and redemption then Asians in America are leading the way in culture and inspiration. This is truly a leading voice in preserving what is truly American about our ideals and hope. When Asian Americans lead the largest company in America (NVIDIA by market cap) then we are even leading in what is a free market economy. And though I am not a fan of capitalism, many of my people’s market leaders are big fans. And they are paving the way to a competitive healthy American economy.

I may be saying this with a bit of a wink in my eye (since I am one of those delusional leftists) but there is truth in my words. If conservatives really want to make America great again, then Asians in America will make us competitive again, cultural leaders, and international stars if only current leaders could wake up and allow us, nay, beg us to lead. If you just compare Trump’s entrepreneurial history to Jensen Huang’s (NVIDIA CEO - one of the only corporate leaders that has gotten Trump to “blink” regarding his anti-China policies) you may truly see how success is based on smart international positioning and dominance. Not based on borrowing investment funds from dictators. So layoff the immigrant bashing.
If Democrats and leftist truly want America to be great again then they need to diversify leadership and invest in Asian Americans across the board including politics. I believe so much will be missed in Mamdani’s win including the fact that Asians led in his coalition. One that garnered 65% of Asians, 52% of Latinos, and 56% of Black voters. We can lead mutli-racial coalitions and should not be relegated to the consultants assigned ghetto where consultants of color beg for campaign funding scraps left there by the “Smart Ass White Boys.”
I say all this with a wink since I am from the left and have no idea what Jensen’s, Ohtani’s, or even the Demonhunter’s politics are.
