A lot happened in the 2025 elections in Minnesota’s RCV cities. We saw record turnout, innovative strategies, upset wins, and more—and we’ve assembled a panel of experts to help us break it down and understand what it all means!
Join us and co-host RISE on Monday, December 15 at 4:30pm for a debrief on the 2025 municipal elections at Cowles Auditorium on the University of Minnesota campus. We’re excited to announce that we have just confirmed Secretary of State Steve Simon and RCV Chief Author Rep. Cedrick Frazier as members of our expert panel that will feature media, election administrators, and community and legislative experts.
The panel will dig into what worked, what we learned, how voters experienced RCV, how campaigns adapted, and the momentum building to expand RCV to more communities. |
Date: Monday, December 15, 2025 Time: 4:30 p.m. reception; 5:00–6:00 p.m. program
Location: Cowles Auditorium, Hubert H. Humphrey Center, University of Minnesota (301 19th Ave S)
In addition to Secretary Simon and Rep. Frazier, moderator and Humphrey Center Dean Nisha Botchwey will be joined by FairVote Minnesota Executive Director Jeanne Massey, Minneapolis Elections Director Katie Smith, Hennepin County Voter Engagement Coordinator Nathan Janicek, Star Tribune Columnist Eric Roper, and Pioneer Press City Hall Reporter Fred Melo.
It’s going to be an energetic, wide-ranging conversation—and your chance to hear directly from the people closest to the process. We hope you can join us on December 15!
