Here's the latest information on the changes you can expect with regards to the Coronavirus and how you should continue to stay safe.
Save Oldham's Services
The COVID-19 outbreak is placing massive financial pressure on services provided by both Oldham Council and the NHS.
Although further government funding has been announced, it is not enough to fully support the people of Oldham. We’re calling on you to say thanks to those who have been working to look after others, by signing our letter to the Government asking for fairer funding. The letter can be found here ([link removed][UNIQID]) .

Face coverings
In England you must wear a face covering on public transport, and as of Friday 24 July this rule will also apply when you visit shops and supermarkets. If you do not comply you may be fined.
Protect those you come into contact with by wearing a face covering. For more information on how, when and why face coverings are to be worn, plus how to make your own, visit the government website ([link removed][UNIQID]) here ([link removed][UNIQID]) . ([link removed][UNIQID])
Get tested, symptoms or no symptoms
We have a Coronavirus testing site at Southgate Street Car Park, next to Oldham Library and it is available for anyone to go and take the test even if you don't have symptoms. This walk-in facility is open seven days a week. All you need to do is book an appointment here ([link removed][UNIQID]) and bring confirmation of your appointment, some ID and wear a face covering. For more information on visiting a testing site watch this video ([link removed][UNIQID]) .
Green bin collections update
We’ve had a number of queries about green bin collections. Click here ([link removed][UNIQID]) for a quick update.
Oldham Way bridge works
We are going to start removing the damaged Oldham Way footbridge, near to the former Mumps station, on July 20. The bypass will be closed at night while the work takes place and we expect to be finished by the morning of July 25. Diversions will be in place.
