Sign the petition and join us as we call on corporate landlords to IMMEDIATELY stop all eviction and CANCEL the rent!
The pandemic has left people around the U.S. unable to pay the rent or cover the basics, but corporate landlords--many owned by billionaires--have not committed to provide rental relief for tenants. In fact, over the last few months, some of the largest private equity and real estate companies in the United States have continued to file eviction cases. These include Greystar Real Estate Partners, led by CEO Bob Faith, Starwood Capital, led by CEO Barry Sternlicht, and more.
We are demanding that corporate landlords stop prioritizing their own profits over the safety and well-being of our communities. Join us and call on these corporate landlords to:
- Cancel rent for those experiencing financial distress for the full duration of the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Withdraw any eviction cases the company has filed and commit to not evict any tenants during the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Permanently forego the use of law enforcement as implementers of evictions.
Let's use our collective voices to take action. Tell corporate landlords to stop evictions and cancel the rent. Sign the petition NOW.
