In some rural areas, the local PBS channel is the ONLY place families can get tornado warnings, school closures, or emergency weather updates. For over 50 years, PBS has brought trusted learning into our homes. It's given us Big Bird and Frontline. It served as the only source of local news and safety alerts for millions – especially in rural and working-class communities.
If Congress doesn't act now, the next generation could grow up without Sesame Street, Mister Rogers, or even local news coverage. If we don't rise up, Trump's oligarchs will fill the void with right-wing propaganda, racist conspiracy theories, and corporate advertising. Trained journalists will be replaced with cronies.
