This year has been full of attempts to cut people off from care and sex education.
By "defunding" Planned Parenthood, the Trump administration and its backers in Congress are trying to block patients from using their Medicaid insurance for care at Planned Parenthood health centers — putting 200 health centers at risk of closing and leaving more than a million patients at risk of being unable to visit their trusted health care provider.
We're doing everything we can to protect access to care — fighting in the courts and advocating to ensure patients can get the sexual and reproductive care they need.
In September, the first month the "defund" law became enforceable,
Planned Parenthood health centers provided care at no cost for 100,000 Medicaid patient visits — so patients who use Medicaid wouldn't be turned away.
But this isn't sustainable, and we need your help to protect patients' rights and expand access to reproductive care.
Please, make your Giving Tuesday gift while this match deadline extension lasts, and you can have twice the impact.
Thank you for being a part of this nationwide movement to defend patients' right to care.
Sincerely,
Brianna Twofoot, National Organizing Director
Planned Parenthood Federation of America
