John, I want to share something vulnerable with you. I’ll warn you — it’s disturbing.

I recently shared this photo of my husband and daughter on her first Halloween.

Ella's first Halloween

Then, my husband, child, and I were attacked with hundreds of bigoted, homophobic comments:

“Ruining an innocent child’s life”

“You should be in prison. This should be illegal”

“We’re going to… take baby Ella away from you and give her to a real family”

Today, I’m not asking for your sympathy — I’m asking for your solidarity. Because hear me when I say this: Every time a supporter stands with me, our campaign gets stronger and their attacks become weaker.

I'm asking for a massive surge of support in response to this bigotry — 750 donations in the next 6 hours — to send a message so resounding the bigots will have no choice but to hear it: Every slur, every attack, every cruel message only fuels this campaign closer to victory, closer to ousting Trump’s Republican Majority, and closer to flipping the entire House for Democrats. I’m asking from the bottom of my heart: Can I count on your $6? »

Growing up, I thought that being gay meant I couldn’t have kids or a family.

As a young man, I was terrified to come out to my parents.

Years later, after being met with love and acceptance by my family and community, I met my husband, Jake.

We built a life together and recently became new dads to our daughter, Ella.

Fatherhood changes everything. It makes every hateful attack hit closer to home. Since launching this campaign, I’ve been targeted by homophobic slurs and even physical threats — proof of just how emboldened hate has become.

But I refuse to be intimidated. Because for every hateful message, I’ve received hundreds more from Mainers saying, keep fighting.

And I will — for Ella. And for every family that’s ever been told they don’t belong.

I refuse to be intimidated by hate, homophobes, or bigots — and I’m planning to fight for every type of family as your Congressman. But my Republican opponent has already amassed a $917k war chest just weeks after entering this race. I’m asking 750 more supporters to chip in before midnight to help me close my fundraising gap, win this pivotal race, and ensure every type of family has leaders that represent them »

Jordan

Jordan is a Democrat running for the U.S. House – in the race that will decide control of the entire House.

Jordan was born and raised in Lewiston, Maine. His dad was a pastor, and his mom was a teacher. Now, Jordan and his husband are raising their baby girl in Maine.

Family

Jordan spent his career taking on the powerful elite: working to get corporate money out of politics, holding CEOs accountable, and defeating election deniers. Now, he’s running for the House to take back our government from Donald Trump, Mike Johnson, and House Republicans.

Jordan refuses to take money from corporate PACs or lobbyists. Unlike Republican politicians, he won’t be bought and paid for.

Jordan needs your help to win — and be the deciding victory that swings House Senate control back to Democrats to provide a much-needed check on Donald Trump.

Will you rush in $15 to elect Jordan and win back the House for Democrats?
