As Giving Tuesday comes to an end, we’re looking at a number that matters more than any we’ve seen today: 421 Military and Veteran families are still waiting to be adopted for the holidays. These are Military and Veteran families — the same families who have protected our country and stood ready to serve — now facing medical crises, disability, deployment, food insecurity, and the rising cost of living. They are doing everything they can, but still need help to make Christmas possible for their children. Tonight, we want to share a message from Brian, an Army Veteran in our Wounded/Ill/Injured category. His family applied for support this year, and his words reflect what so many families feel:
Brian’s gratitude — and his honesty — is why this night matters. His family, and hundreds like his, are still hoping someone will reach out — and Giving Tuesday is a powerful moment to help as many as we can. There is still time to change a family’s Christmas. If you are able and if you haven't done so already, please take action before Giving Tuesday ends: Every act of generosity tonight directly supports families who have sacrificed so much — and who are hoping for just a bit of light this holiday season. Thank you for showing up
today. P.S. This is your last chance to make a Giving Tuesday impact. Your kindness will mean more than you know.
