Hi there, it’s Tahesha Way, New Jersey’s Lieutenant Governor.

As New Jersey’s chief elections official, I’ve been on the front lines protecting the democracy my ancestors fought for. Now, I’m running for Congress in a must-win special election—that’s crucial for flipping back the House majority.

Here in New Jersey, I’ve been on the front lines against MAGA’s attacks on our democracy. I’ve worked relentlessly as Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of State to open up our state’s democracy. And at each step, extremists have sued and fought against me to stop our progress.

Yet again and again, we rose up and won!

I can’t stay on the sidelines as democracy continues to hang in the balance, and as we see more and more fundamental rights slip away. As skyrocketing costs make it impossible for working class families like the one I grew up in to achieve the American Dream.

That’s why I’m in this fight. But with just over two months until Election Day, we need to get to work now to secure the first big Democratic win of 2026.
