Exciting news, John!

For the rest of Giving Tuesday, every gift to the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) will be MATCHED up to $25,000 thanks to our generous partners Gertrude Johnson and Kirkland & Ellis. But you only have until midnight to take advantage of it.

Every dollar you give now will have twice the impact, helping to defend due process and dignity for our community members.

Give now and double your impact:

All around the country we are seeing the federal government blatantly disregard due process.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has detained people who show up to their immigration court hearings to comply with the legal process and fast-tracked their deportation without seeing a judge. ICE is bribing and coercing children into abandoning their immigration cases and their only hope for protection. Federal agents are abducting people who are walking in their neighborhoods or in public parks. They are snatching people from Home Depot parking lots, pulling people from their cars during traffic stops, taking parents away from their children, waking people in the early hours of the morning using explosive devices to break into their homes. This is happening to our neighbors, including people with valid legal status and even U.S. citizens.

This is not due process. NIJC is fighting back. Will you join us?

We need your support right now on GivingTuesday to defend due process and uphold the dignity of our community members. Give now and your donation will be MATCHED:

NIJC won a lawsuit prohibiting ICE from arresting people without warrants or probable cause. NIJC's Know Your Rights team has been busy educating community members through presentations and outreach events. Our attorneys represent people in detention, ensuring they don't disappear without their day in court.

But the need is overwhelming. Federal cuts to legal services mean that more people, including children and people seeking asylum, are facing the immigration system alone as enforcement is ramping up.

This GivingTuesday, help NIJC defend due process for every neighbor who needs it.

Your donation today funds the legal consultations, court representation, and Know Your Rights workshops that keep families together. NIJC is a lifeline for our community members because of your support.

Here's what your donation does:

  • $2,500 frees a parent TWO PARENTS from immigration jail
  • $500 educates community members through a TWO Know Your Rights presentations
  • $300 screens 10 20 people for a workshop to apply for asylum
  • $100 provides expert legal help for a family TWO FAMILIES fighting to stay together
  • $50 provides a TWO legal consultations by phone

Will you donate now and make your gift go twice as far to defend due process for our community members?

Give now and double your impact:

Every person deserves their day in court. Every person deserves dignity. Thank you for making that possible.
