Friend,
This week, I led a letter from the New York Congressional delegation urging Governor Hochul and the NYS Legislature to enact the Fair and Timely Parole and Elder Parole bills this session.

The Fair and Timely Parole Act would make it easier for eligible people to receive parole, while the Elder Parole Act would make those over the age of 55 eligible for parole. As we stated in our letter, “These bills will promote rehabilitation in prison, improve safety, and reunite families in our districts.”
New Yorkers deserve to be rehabilitated and reunited with their families. We value safety and dignity above endless punishment.

These bills should be next on the legislative agenda. If we all stand together, we can see justice prevail in New York. If you support the New York Congressional delegation’s work to reform our criminal justice system, sign my petition today.
