Friend –
In recent months, the Justice Department has requested voter data from states across the country. There is concern that the data will be shared with the Department of Homeland Security to run it through an unproven “citizenship check system.”
Federal officials from the Justice Department and DHS have given mixed explanations regarding the data, leading to confusion and uncertainty that Democratic Secretaries of State are determined to clear up.
Jena is standing up to the Justice Department. Because of the unprecedented nature of these requests and because voter information should not be used for partisan games, Jena led the effort to bring ten Secretaries of State together to send a letter asking the administration to clarify how the data will be used, who it will be shared with, and how federal agencies will comply with the law.
Jena will always fight to protect Coloradans from federal overreach. Chip in now to help elect a champion for our rights as the next Attorney General. [[link removed]]
Thank you for standing with us in this fight.
