Hi y’all,

With the runoff behind us, we’re ready to move full steam ahead into the general election. I wanted to take this time to remind you what’s at stake.

I’m a working mom, a combat veteran, and a survivor of domestic abuse and gun violence who has had her fair share of tough battles. I understand the challenges Texas families deal with every day, and I know what it’s like to have urgent health care needs. I was shot down on a rescue mission in Afghanistan (I took shrapnel to my shoulder and leg), and I went through two difficult pregnancies.

I know we need a senator who fights for access to affordable health care -- and Senator Cornyn has failed us. Will you help me defeat him?

I worry about the kind of world my kids are growing up in. Gun violence has become all too common across Texas -- yet Sen. Cornyn’s campaign continues to take money from the NRA, and he’s refused to enact meaningful reforms like passing universal background checks and closing the boyfriend loophole. I don’t want my kids growing up in a world where I worry for their safety every day.

I’m running because Texas needs a senator who will fight on behalf of the PEOPLE of Texas, not just his special interest donors. Will you help me out and make sure that we’ve got someone in Washington who fights for every one of her constituents?
