We’re in the final hours of Giving Tuesday, and I’m writing with urgency because we are up against a deadline to hold our government accountable for ICE abuses and the push for more war.
This year, NIAC took the extraordinary step of suing ICE [[link removed]] after the agency escalated arrests, detentions, and deportations of Iranians with virtually no transparency. Our lawsuit is already forcing answers, and we need the resources to keep pushing, expand the case, and protect our community from profiling and abuse.
At the same time, we launched the most comprehensive Congressional Scorecard [[link removed]] ever built for our community, tracking how every Member of Congress acted on war powers, Iran diplomacy, Gaza, sanctions, immigrant justice, and civil rights. It’s already being used by organizers preparing for 2026.
Both of these major efforts, holding ICE accountable and holding Congress accountable, depend entirely on whether we meet our end-of-year fundraising goals.
