This holiday season, while many of us gather around tables filled with warmth and love, countless families remain separated by detention and impossible financial barriers.

Through our Familias Reunidas Bond Program, we post immigration bonds so that parents, siblings, and loved ones can be released from detention and reunited with their families. Every bond posted is a homecoming. Every contribution is a step toward healing. Every reunited family is a small act of resistance against a system that tears people apart.

This year, our goal is simple:
Bring families back together in time for the holidays.
Whether it is a mother returning to her children, a son seeing his parents again, or a partner walking through the front door for the first time in months, we believe family should never be a privilege, it should be a right.

You can help make that moment possible.
Your donation goes directly toward bond payments that free people from detention and place them back in the arms of the people who love them most.

Let this season be one of welcome, warmth, and reunion.

On the morning of June 25, Lucas and Yesenia were detained by ICE in Barrio Logan as they left their home to go to work. They were taken without a warrant, without cause, and without a chance to say goodbye. Their sudden detention left five children without their parents, two of whom are only 8 and 13 years old.

Their eldest daughter, Deisy, stepped up to care for her younger siblings, but she should have never been forced to carry that burden alone. No child should grow up holding their family together in the face of separation.

Lucas, a construction worker and sole provider, and Yesenia, a loving mother, have built a life rooted in love, sacrifice and hope.

Three weeks ago, your support helped secure Yesenia’s release. And today, we are overjoyed to share that Lucas has finally been released too. Their children now have both of their parents home in time for the holidays.

Although their family is reunited, the financial weight of paying two bonds remains heavy. This is why our Home for the Holidays campaign continues, because there are more families still waiting, still hoping, and still fighting to come home.

Thank you to every person who donated, shared, and believed. You didn’t just free Lucas and Yesenia you gave five children their family back.
