John, did you hear the news? Hannah was endorsed by Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund (MCVAF) yesterday. It was their first endorsement in a gubernatorial primary ever.

This is a milestone that reflects the growing momentum behind our campaign.

MCVAF, Maine’s leading environmental organization, works to elect leaders who will protect the state’s natural resources, fight climate change, and expand clean energy — making their endorsement a major recognition of Hannah’s record and vision for a sustainable Maine.

Hannah has been a transformative leader in Maine’s fight against climate change and an environmental champion throughout her nearly 25 years of public service. As Speaker of the House, she made environmental health a priority, taking on the chemical companies and winning, removing toxic chemicals from furniture and kids products and protecting Maine families.

As co-chair of the Maine Climate Council, she spearheaded Maine Won’t Wait, a comprehensive plan to take climate action in Maine—installing over 100,000 heat pumps years ahead of state goals and invested in weatherizing homes to reduce emissions and Mainers reliance on heating oil; all while growing homegrown clean energy sources and businesses, and good paying jobs. She led historic investments in community resilience, including unprecedented storm recovery funding and programs to strengthen homes, working waterfronts and infrastructure.

Here’s the bottom line: Hannah’s taken on big fights - and won – now she’s running for Governor of Maine to take on our state’s greatest challenges head on.
