It is the
honor of my life to represent the vibrant, brilliant residents of
Massachusetts’ 7th district. I wanted to reach out to you all directly to
share an update.

Hearing from so many people throughout our Commonwealth encouraging me to
run for the United States Senate was deeply humbling and a testament to
the strength of our movement.

I feel heartened and encouraged by the coalition that has emerged
encouraging me to take a look at this, and seeing the strong path to
victory, I spent deliberate time giving a statewide run the careful
consideration it deserves.

Ultimately, at this moment, I feel called to my community and my family.
The people of the Massachusetts 7th make up one of the most vibrant and
diverse districts in the country — and also one of the most unequal. We
were one of the hardest hit by the first Trump administration and the
COVID-19 pandemic, and today our district is squarely in the crosshairs of
the Trump White House. The fear and trauma felt in our communities right
now is all too real — and I am resolved to continue fighting for my
district.

This is also my daughter Cora’s senior year of high school and last year
at home before she heads off to college. I want to be able to sit around
the dinner table as a family and attend her dance team performances. You
just don’t get moments like those back.

While it would be an honor to serve the entire Commonwealth, at this
moment I’ve never felt more emboldened to continue fighting for the
Massachusetts 7th.

So I’m proud to formally share that I’m running for re-election to the
House of Representatives — to continue building community, governing in
close partnership and proximity to my constituents, and continue making
progress for the district I’ve proudly represented for the past six years.

but with an eye on generations to come. So if you’re able, will you please

anything you can to kick off the next phase of our work with the strongest
possible momentum behind us?

In this next term, I plan to continue standing in the gap and holding the
line against this hostile White House that means harm to everyone in our
district and country. That means:

* Fighting back against the White House’s attacks on the LGBTQ+
community, Black and brown folks, federal workers, and our immigrant
neighbors.
* Continuing to use my committee roles to conduct oversight and make
progress on everything from housing affordability, AI and crypto
oversight, to accountability for survivors of Epstein’s abuse.
* Leading the Reproductive Freedom Caucus to protect and expand abortion
access with a House majority.
* Continuing to advance bold, comprehensive policies that meet the
moment and address the affordability crisis — like lowering the cost
of housing, investing in affordable childcare, ending the pushout of
Black women from the workforce, closing the racial wealth gap, and
more.

These are not nice-to-haves, these are must-haves for the people I
represent in Massachusetts and folks across the country.

And ahead of the 2026 midterms, I plan to take an active role in helping
Democrats win back the House and Senate — traveling across the country to
mobilize voters and advocating for the Democratic party to embrace bold,
meaningful policies that save lives and protect our most vulnerable.

Too many of our neighbors are forced to choose between groceries and rent.
We have teachers struggling to get childcare for their own babies and hard
working parents targeted by a rogue deportation force.

Now, more than ever, is the time to dig deep, to lean into mutual aid, and
to use every tool available to stand in the gap in defense of our
neighbors and our democracy. That’s exactly what this campaign is going to
do — and we’re going to keep powering our work like we always have: with
small-dollar, grassroots support.

$25 or
anything you can to help kick off our 2026 campaign fighting for bold
action and transformative policies in Massachusetts and across the
country.

I am incredibly honored to have your support. Thank you for everything.

In solidarity,

Ayanna
