Over the last year, the Trump Administration’s outlandish decisions have left the anti-trafficking movement in a constant state of confusion, frustration, and fear.
Human trafficking survivors nationwide are quickly losing access to a safe place to sleep at night as housing programs are being forced to shut their doors. Unaccompanied children are representing themselves in court as the Trump Administration cancels funding for legal service providers. Immigrant survivors are scared to seek help out of fear of deportation, a tactic that traffickers were already exploiting. This climate of fear is leading many survivors to turn BACK to their trafficker as the seemingly safer alternative.
We will not stand for this. FNUSA is fighting back.
We are helping providers navigate the new political landscape so that survivors will have a safe place to live.
We are fighting for the rights of LGBTQIA+ and immigrant survivors to keep them safe from exploitation.
We are informing the media, so the needs of trafficking survivors are front-page news.
We are connecting hundreds of survivors with pro-bono attorneys to help them clear their unjust criminal records and begin a path to a better future.
We are organizing the anti-trafficking movement so our collective voice cannot be ignored.
And this is just the beginning…
