If Republicans lose the House in 2026 (which they are presently on track for as shown by the above polling) Trump becomes a lame duck president unable to carry out any major policy initiatives for the remainder of his term.
For MAGA everything is on the line which is why they’ve resorted to rigging the upcoming midterms via red state redistricting. A last ditch effort to shore up their majority and save the Trump presidency from imminent doom.
Right now their plan is working. They are on track to steal enough House seats to make their House majority bulletproof. No matter how massive a blue wave we accomplish, the math won’t work out for Democrats, we will lose the midterms despite every factor being in our favor.
For Democrats this is an existential crisis. Faced with these circumstances we have two options:
- Lay down, let Republicans enshrine one party rule for generations to come, and pat ourselves on the back for not resorting to gerrymandering

Or, we start fighting back and beat them at their own game.
California and Virginia just chose option 2 but it won’t be enough. More blue states must join the fight or it is game over.
Yesterday, Fair Fight Colorado announced that blue state Colorado will join this fight. We are pushing forward with a ballot initiative that will let Coloradans decide on a new Congressional map that lets us fight back against MAGA election rigging - however the success of this effort is by no means assured.
The entire MAGA redistricting strategy was based upon their expectation that we would take it and not fight back. If we can prove them otherwise that plan will backfire and the rest of Trump’s term will be an utter failure. Please, can you rush a donation of $25, $10, or whatever amount is meaningful to you to bring Colorado into this critical fight?
