That's where Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action come in. As the grassroots arms of Everytown for Gun Safety, our volunteers show up year-round. We advocate for life-saving gun safety policies and programs at school board meetings, statehouses, and U.S. Congress. We're organizing and educating in our communities and on college campuses. Our movement never backs down from fighting for stronger, life-saving gun safety laws.
And we're making a big impact on elections: This year, Everytown invested big to help deliver critical victories for Gun Sense Candidates like Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey, and Governor-elect (and former Moms Demand Action volunteer!) Abigail Spanberger in Virginia—plus hundreds more Gun Sense Candidates, including our own Moms Demand Action volunteers who were elected to local offices across the country. We also activated our grassroots power in a big way: In last month's elections alone, our volunteers canvassed neighborhoods, made phone calls, and organized texting banks to make hundreds of thousands of voter contacts to help elect leaders who will vote with gun safety in mind and stand up to the gun lobby. Our volunteer-powered movement is building on this momentum as we continue changing the course of gun safety in this country and holding the gun lobby to account. Are you with us?
