John, Today, I’m officially kicking off my reelection campaign – to keep up the fight for Virginia’s families, to stand up to the policies in Washington that are skyrocketing the cost of living, and to continue to bring people together to get it done. And my friends at Moderate Democrats PAC said I should reach out to you directly – because I’ll need you to join me in this important work. I need your bold ideas, your enthusiasm, and your commitment to making life better for your kids and grandkids with me on the campaign trail.
Look, I’ve always been focused on what’s next, on what’s on the horizon. I started a cell phone company back when everyone was still using landlines. When I was first elected governor, it was on the promise to move Virginia forward. And we did. And, in the Senate, I’ve been focused on the challenges our country faces next:
But our work is far from over. Since the AI revolution, we’ve seen the job market in a free fall – while prices continue to rise. And Donald Trump and his crowd in Washington? They don’t have a clue what to do about it. They don’t even seem to care. Instead of being paralyzed by fear – or worse – making futile attempts to turn back the clock, we need to ensure that innovation gives everyone a fair shot. This moment calls for big ideas. A systematic economic re-tooling to prepare for the impacts of artificial intelligence, a complete overhaul of affordable housing and childcare, and universal health care coverage. We need a vision to chart a new path and effective leadership to get it done. That’s why I’m running for reelection to the United States Senate.
Our work starts now. More soon, Mark Warner |
