[<[link removed] Policy Alliance Foundation>] Big Tech does NOT want you to see this. [child using an electronic device <[link removed]>] John, Big Tech doesn’t want you to read this email. They don’t want you to hear about how Family Policy Alliance Foundation is working around the clock to protect children from the darkest parts of the internet. They can’t believe that even in today’s hyper-progressive world, we helped orchestrate a Supreme Court victory to uphold the Age Verification Act and protect children from the evils of online pornography. They can’t stand our newest efforts to pass the App Store Accountability Act, which would empower parents to block harmful, age-inappropriate apps from being downloaded on their children’s phones. In fact, they hate what we’re doing so much that Apple’s CEO personally called Texas Governor Greg Abbott, urging him to veto the bill when it reached his desk. (Thankfully, he didn't!) But Big Tech can’t prevent us from fighting to protect children from the harms of the internet. We won’t let them slow us down even a little bit. Because the cost of inaction is measured in lives. Sewell Setzer III was just 16 years old when he took his life after being exploited by predators online—using apps he never should have had access to. I can’t help but think of Jesus telling His disciples that it would be better for someone to be cast into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than to lead a little one astray (Matt. 18:6)—and it motivates me to equip parents and pass these bills more than I can express. The App Store Accountability Act can help save countless other children from these horrors and keep their parents from living the same nightmare as the Setzers. Yet Big Tech hates this legislation. Why? Because protecting kids could harm their bottom line. But thanks to your faithful support, the App Store Accountability Act is now law in three states. It’s a start. But to truly protect America’s children, we need this bill to pass in all 50 states. And that’s why I’m writing to you today. We must keep the momentum going, and to make that possible, Family Policy Alliance Foundation is working to:
Train legislators and state leaders in how to champion the App Store Accountability Act Testify in key hearings and coordinate strategy across the country Rally citizens and parents who want a voice in protecting their children But we can’t do any of this without your help. [This Giving Tuesday, will you help protect kids and empower parents in the fight against Big Tech and online exploitation? <[link removed]>] Every dollar you give fuels this work—from drafting bills to training leaders to testifying in state capitols. And if you give today , your gift will count toward our goal of raising $30,000 in honor of Giving Tuesday—every dollar of which will be doubled, thanks to a generous Challenge Grant. [Will you help us maximize the impact of these funds by making your best tax-deductible gift today? <[link removed]>] The fight is real. The stakes are high.
