Dear Friend,
When Reno arrived at PAWS Chicago, he was a tiny 3-month-old kitten trembling from illness and fear. Rescued from a local animal control facility, he had been exposed to a deadly, highly contagious virus called panleukopenia—a disease that kills most kittens his age.
DOUBLE YOUR GIFT TODAY ([link removed])
Within days, he tested positive and his world looked bleak; Reno’s condition worsened rapidly. He grew weak and thin, unable to eat or even lift his head. For two long weeks, our medical team fought beside him—administering IV fluids, syringe feedings, and antibiotics to combat dehydration, vomiting, and muscle wasting. Each day was a battle to keep him alive.
And then, against all odds, Reno began to purr. His eyes brightened. His body grew stronger. The frail kitten who once lay motionless in his blanket began to play again, batting at his toys with new energy and life.

From nearly hopeless to completely healthy, Reno is living proof of what quality medical care, and the compassion of supporters like you, can do.
And today, on Giving Tuesday, your donation goes twice as far. Thanks to a $55,000 Giving Tuesday Match, every gift you give before midnight will be doubled ([link removed]) to save twice as many lives.

Reno isn’t alone. Ted, just 8 months old, was rescued from a cruelty case and brought to PAWS from the city shelter. He arrived weak, coughing, and frightened. PAWS took him in, treated his pneumonia, and gave him the love he had never known. Today, Ted is healthy, gentle, and waiting for a family to love him.
These are the lives you save.
But thousands of other dogs and cats are still waiting for their second chance.
SAVE 2X LIVES NOW ([link removed])
Reno’s breakthrough, Ted’s recovery, and so many others are only possible because people like you choose compassion. Please, make your most generous gift today. When you give, they live.
