This year, we launched MPAC’s 1st Amendment Center to meet a growing wave of suppression targeting students and educators. The Center has already supported cases at multiple levels of education and released the Academic Freedom Report Card, the first national evaluation of how universities treat speech, protest, and due process.
Your support also strengthens our Center for Government Impact. This year, we advanced the Block the Bombs campaign, supported the No Ban Acts, and helped increase congressional support for Senator Bernie Sanders’ Joint Resolutions of Disapproval. These efforts ensure that Muslim voices are present in the rooms where major decisions are made.
Your generosity also empowers our Center for Security, Technology, and Policy. When the EPIC mosque in Texas faced a flawed federal investigation, our team provided data analysis and policy expertise that helped demonstrate the truth. The investigation was closed with no findings. This was not only a victory for one mosque but a reassurance for every community that fears being unfairly targeted.
And through our Hollywood Bureau, we expanded our presence at Sundance, SXSW, and other major festivals. We supported Muslim writers and creatives, engaged with industry leaders, and continued our work to ensure that Muslim stories are told with honesty and dignity.
