We’re up against a determined, well-funded opposition that has shown there’s almost nothing it won’t do to push women and girls into second-class citizenship. Our opponents do not believe that we deserve equality. They don’t believe that we should be allowed to have a say in society.
But just as our foremothers did at times like this in generations past, it’s on those of us in the feminist movement today to stand firm and say with one voice, “Not on our watch!”
This moment must be defined by our resistance and our will to fight and stand on the right side of history in the toughest circumstances.
