For decades, our region has built too few homes to keep up with demand and relied too much on expensive personal cars to move people around. Right now, the impact of those choices on cost of living is hitting families really hard. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

This Giving Tuesday, please donate to help [[link removed]] shape a Washington region where housing is abundant and affordable, and where it’s easy and safe to take transit, walk, bike, or roll to get around.

Every day, we’re advocating for policy reforms that make it easier to build more housing options that more families can afford, like duplexes or four-plexes or apartment buildings. We’re pushing for a region where you can get to where you need to be without a car and without paying any extra “tax” on your time.

Later this month, we'll share more about our progress on that work in 2025. But first, I wanted to kick off this holiday season by recognizing the team that makes up the heart and soul of GGWash: Read on [[link removed]] . We were fortunate to grow from six to 10 staff [[link removed]] this year, and we could not have done it without your help. We couldn't publish the stories that you won’t see anywhere else without your support. A lot of our most meaningful work isn’t funded by grants, but by individuals like you.

So as you think about how you’ll give back on Giving Tuesday and throughout this holiday season, I hope you’ll remember how we rely on you to help us deliver on the vision we share. We have big ideas about how we want to grow next, and we need you to make it happen.
