(Note: this is the next of our Giving Tuesday emails you’ll receive today from
our staff, sharing their personal stories and reflections about our movement to
create a better, safer future for the generations to come.)

Hi John,

Since 2018, March For Our Lives has created numerous movement moments.
These are pieces of history that continue to make a difference both
culturally and politically.

I have witnessed these moments in our movement from many places; my high
school classroom as I planned a walkout, my computer screen as I attended
virtual events, and the national mall as I rallied for change during the
second march.

This movement is the catalyst for my involvement in public service, and I
moved to Washington D.C. to study how I can create change. Being in our
nation's Capitol gave me a unique opportunity to lobby for the Bipartisan
Safer Communities Act. March For Our Lives gathered volunteers from across
the country, trained everyone on how to lobby, and scheduled meetings with
Representatives and Senators.

For almost a week, we were hard at work talking to elected officials about
the importance of this bill, and officially on June 25, 2022 it became the
first gun safety bill passed in nearly 30 years!

Whether it's in your classrooms, on a virtual call, at a rally, or even
lobbying on Capitol Hill, I continue to be inspired by the people who are
making a difference each day that we fight for change. I am proud to work
alongside this group of activists, and as this movement continues to grow,
I am eager to welcome even more.

[ [link removed] ]I hope that your movement moment will be today, and you’ll make an
impact by donating to March For Our Lives this Giving Tuesday. Your
donation will ensure that movement moments like this don’t stop. All
across the country, advocates have experienced movement moments just like
mine. A donation today would give the next generation of MFOL members a
chance to experience a powerful moment of their own.

In solidarity,

Payton
