Dear John,

I’m reaching out to ask you to consider renewing a year-end gift to Headwaters. Your ongoing commitment is more important than ever. The challenges we face today are significant, but Headwaters isn’t backing down.

Watching and listening to the news these days is frequently heartbreaking and disarming. Our communities - Black, Indigenous, Latine, immigrant, queer, transgender, disabled, and many others - are experiencing unimaginable harm. The very institutions, organizations, and policies we have created to protect and improve our lives are under attack.

At Headwaters, we know our power comes from leading together. Everyday people throughout Minnesota have made Headwaters the rooted and bold organization that it is today. And we have what it takes to keep our work – and our movements - strong in the face of today’s threats.

40 years of resourcing movements have shown us that tough fights call for courageous organizing. So, as we approach 2026, we know we must keep showing up shoulder to shoulder with our communities.

Donate today to help us meet the moment, together.

Right now, we are:

  1. Investing in healing justice and community safety, led by and for Black, Indigenous, immigrant, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

  2. Funding frontline organizers who are building a Minnesota that is safe and equitable for everyone, regardless of gender, race, background, or place.

  3. Backing movement leaders who are organizing, speaking up, and protecting our communities.

  4. Standing in solidarity with grantees whose federal funding has been pulled or who are facing retaliation for their work.

  5. And deepening our participatory grantmaking practices, so that those most impacted by inequity and injustice continue to lead and shape the decisions that affect them.

We are able to do all of this because of your participation as a donor. This year, please consider increasing your contribution to join us in meeting the moment.

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to justice,

.
