THIS GIVING TUESDAY,
HELP US SHARE THE HOPE
Dear Friend of The Living Church,
On this Giving Tuesday, we’re excited to share some wonderful news with you—and invite you to be part of something truly meaningful.
Since 1878, The Living Church has been the premier source for coverage of the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion, offering the substantive theological engagement that readers like you depend on. In 2026, we’re expanding our mission in a new direction.
WE’RE LAUNCHING A FREE RESOURCE HUB
FOR THE WHOLE CHURCH
Thanks in part to a generous bequest from the Anglican Fellowship of Prayer, we’re creating a comprehensive hub of materials for priests, parishes, and laypeople across the Anglican world. In addition to our comprehensive news coverage and TLC’s free online journal, Covenant, the Anglicans Believe pamphlet series will be available as a free download, accompanied by complimentary resources for preachers and a lectionary resource for lectors.
** INTRODUCING: “THE HOPE IN US:
------------------------------------------------------------
** A CATECHISM FOR WORLD ANGLICANS”
------------------------------------------------------------
We’re particularly thrilled to announce our flagship resource: a brand new catechism composed by theologians and pastors from across the breadth of the Anglican Communion. The Hope in Us is structured for both individual reflection and group study, covering:
* Old Testament
* New Testament
* The Ten Commandments
* The Apostles’ Creed
* The Lord’s Prayer
* Our Calling and God’s Gifts
This teaching aid will be available for free download, and we’ll be launching accompanying curriculum in 2026 to help parishes and study groups engage deeply with this material.
** YOUR GIFT MAKES THIS POSSIBLE
------------------------------------------------------------
While these resources will be free to users, they aren’t free to produce. Quality theological education requires careful research, skilled writing, thoughtful editing, and robust digital infrastructure.
This Giving Tuesday, would you consider making a gift to The Living Church? Your support helps us continue our essential journalism and build these new resources for the formation of Anglicans everywhere.
DONATE NOW ([link removed])
Whether you can give $25, $100, or $500, your generosity directly supports our dual mission: telling the story of the Church and equipping the Church for ministry.
Thank you for being part of The Living Church community. Together, we’re not just reporting on the faith—we’re helping people grow in it.
Yours in Christ,
Matthew S.C. Olver, Ph.D.
