So much has changed in just one year.

Since Donald Trump returned to the White House, we have seen sweeping rollbacks of civil rights protections, attacks on environmental safeguards, efforts to weaken federal agencies, and a renewed push to shrink public transparency. The administration has sidelined scientific guidance, reshaped foreign policy around personal loyalty, and placed new pressure on journalists who question official narratives.

Through it all, our work at The Progressive has only grown more urgent—and more difficult. The costs of producing a bimonthly magazine and running a daily news site continue to rise. But we have refused to scale back our mission: to provide honest reporting, amplify grassroots voices, and hold power to account when it drifts toward secrecy and abuse.
