Earlier this year we heard from the Street Vendor Project in New York City, whose members were working to prepare for the imminent escalation of ICE presence on the streets of NYC. IDP was grateful to connect with SVP and we collaborated on materials built for their members, which you can check out here! The Project’s Deputy Director, Carina Kaufman-Gutierrez, wrote:
Thank you for the incredible work you do. IDP is an invaluable partner in educating frontline New Yorkers like street vendors and supporting us in developing industry-specific educational materials. We’ve been grateful to build a stronger Know Your Rights network together.
We hope for our resources to be nimble and responsive to the questions that are arising every day, and we are grateful to everyone who is taking part in sharing and adapting these resources in New York and beyond.
With your support, we will continue to grow this work in 2026.
Thank you,
