Will the incoming socialist mayor of New York City try to implement actual socialism, or will he go with the usual “progressivism” and call it “socialism”? If he tries real socialism, the impact will be obviously disastrous. Otherwise, we’ll just see more of New York’s ongoing decline as it has been unfolding for years.

If New Yorkers wanted to rebuild a robust and free society, there’s a lot they could learn from the great French classical liberal Charles de Montalembert.
