Our working class and people are living in trying, stressful times and one of the great things about this time of year is that it affords us an opportunity to pause for a moment and reflect on those around us who make our lives meaningful. For us at People’s World that means you.

That brings us to the purpose of this note. It’s an appeal to you to support us by providing the gift of a Giving Tuesday donation.

We know that you’ve given generously over the past year. Because of your support, we've come very close to bringing in $200,000 this year. In fact, we’re less than $10,000 shy. But you’ve also given in other important ways, including writing and circulating PW articles and providing valuable video and photos. Taken as a whole, your contributions have made a real difference.

We at People’s World are incredibly grateful to you and our community of readers. We consistently emphasize that without your generous support, we simply wouldn’t exist.

The fact is, we need each other now more than ever. You expect to be informed, motivated, and inspired, and we are committed to delivering the truth, the best news, Marxist-Leninist analysis, and cultural reviews.

Like you, we are deeply heartened by the growing fightback against MAGA. Our working class and people are rising up against the attacks on immigrants, the trans community, people of color, and women. They’re deeply enraged at the lawlessness, the outright murder of people on the high seas without trial, and the ongoing support for the genocide in Gaza.

A primary target of the MAGA right is the media. And many in the capitalist media have capitulated. This includes former bastions of liberalism like CBS, ABC, and the Washington Post.

But PW readers refuse to back down. The resistance began the day after the election, and importantly, the working class and trade unions are beginning to join the fight in an increasingly big way.

People’s World is not giving in to fear. We stay true to our readers: the working class and all people. We continue covering the resistance and remain a beacon of truth against the Project 2025 Agenda.

The battle of ideas is a big part of the fightback. The right-wing propaganda media, taking advantage of declining confidence in mainstream media, influences hundreds of millions through talk shows, podcasts, TikTok, and other social media platforms. They will continue to build a fascist right-wing movement based on disinformation and lies about the new administration.

And that’s the challenge: Combatting the influence of the MAGA right, particularly in the working class where they’ve gained a foothold. We’re reaching larger numbers, but it’s not close to where it needs to be.

Sadly, the pro-democracy and independent media have struggled to effectively counter the lies of the right-wing propaganda machine that misled and brainwashed so many. But Trump’s support is waning significantly, including in sections of the MAGA base, not in small measure because of the Epstein coverup.

This is a significant challenge for us and the entire anti-MAGA movement, but we are ready to tackle it.
